LSM OUTREACH
LSM Outreach is a registered Community Interest Company (C.I.C. 13501392) which provides free music scholarships for the community of Tower Hamlets. As this is one of the most deprived London boroughs, our tuition is intended for premium students from lower-socio economic backgrounds.
Currently we are teaching weekly free guitar and piano lessons to 24 children at Cyril Jackson Primary School. In addition to instrument tuition, LSM Outreach students get to play their instruments in bands, attend masterclasses with renowned musicians and perform at London School of Music concerts hosted twice annually.

OUR MISSION
"After having successfully run London School of Music for over 8 years, I decided we needed to give something back to our local community. Without a doubt it was to teach our lessons to children of disadvantaged families in Tower Hamlets. That's why I created LSM Outreach. At LSM Outreach we are passionate about music and education, and we want our excitement for music also to reach the most disadvantaged. Our main goals are improving access to music education to children of low socio-economic background families, improving mental health of children through music and spread the joy of music in our local community."

TESTIMONIALS
See what students of the Cryil Jackson school have to say about our lessons!
Zayd (Year 4) - I enjoy guitar because it is very calming. Sometimes you can pick up a guitar if you are in a bad mood and it makes you feel better as it change how you feel. You can also go to concerts.
Maya (Year 4) - I like guitar because it is really fun. I have learned Wednesday Adams.
Melody (year 2) - I like playing the guitar because it is noisy and fun.
Rhoda (year 2) - I like it because it is fun and exciting. We learn a new thing every lesson.
Suhan (Year 4) - I like guitar a lot as it is a new instrument. I had never played an instrument before and its the first time I have been taught something like this.
Ahmed (year 4) - I like the musical sounds of the guitar. I have been using the notes as well.

Our Outreach programme continues to make significant strides in 2024. Thanks to our dedicated team, we have achieved many goals set since our fundraising concert in late 2023. We officially launched our program at Cyril Jackson school, offering personalised guitar and piano lessons to 24 students who face socio-economic challenges. The program was a hit, prompting plans to expand to drum lessons. To support this growth, we will be hosting our charity concert on the 23rd of November. We warmly invite you to join us at this charity concert free of charge and enjoy an unforgettable day of incredible performances by our talented musicians. Join us in supporting accessible music education for all children!
